City names women’s squad

 PORT Moresby Soccer Association selectors have named 33 women in a training squad for the Southern Regional Besta Cup in Alotau next week.

All the players will attend their first training session at the Bisini oval after the Women’s Super League grand final, with any player missing training being dropped.

Selectors and the team management will later trim the squad to 20 players to travel to Alotau.

The side is coached by Keven Friday and assisted by Robert Sabadi.

All the PMSA Super League matches over the weekend were cancelled by executives.

The squad: Joyce Tsuga, Claire Tsuga, Lavina Hola, Alendra Elijah, Gloria Leali, Fatima Rama, Sandra Birum, Dorcas Sesevo, Terry Lasin (Mungkas), Hipak Pokichong, Deffany Flinders, Daslyn Siniu, Katherine Horris, Kiwi Tona, Lydia Barnabas, Davina Novata, Jessica Nawi (Rapatona), Esther Kurabi, Helen Baki, Kathy Lanta, Bertha Yiapi, Ruth Turia, Miriam Lanta, Joan Aidabo, Samantha Lelei (Guria), Pamela Norrie, Lydia Kose, Mary Mogi, Ida Gerotha, Linda Bunaga, Jane Norrie, Scholar Morabang and Michelle Inga (University).
