CITY Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) Group is committed to providing best customer experience and is continuously looking to provide innovative ways to ensure customer satisfaction, says managing director Mahesh Patel.
He said yesterday said that the 200,000 Real Reward Plus members throughout the country should now check their point balance and update their profiles.
This free USSD (unstructured supplementary service data) service is a partnership where members can dial *505# on their Digicel phones to check their balance for free.
“We started with Digicel because they have got the largest subscribers list,” Patel said.
“Eventually, we will talk to all the other services providers, so whichever telephone numbers that you have, you will be able to dial in.”
He said this customer loyalty programme started in 2003.
“The programme is available in all stores of the CPL Group nationwide,” Patel said.
“The participating stores are from the three major brands of CPL Group – Hardware Haus and City Pharmacy Stores nationwide, and Stop & Shop in only Port Moresby.”
He said while members could only earn points in the Hardware Haus stores nationwide, all prize redemptions were done in the City Pharmacy and Stop & Shop stores.
He said CPL Group was the first retailer to introduce the very first and biggest customer loyalty programme in the country in 2003 as a way of rewarding its loyal customers.
“You spend a K100 in a shop and you will get your card free of charge,” Patel said.
“After you accumulate your points for every kina you spend, and if you go to a number of places around the shops, you can actually pay for the products or you can use points to buy it, so you can get it free to your points.
“We change the catalogue on a regular basis and try to bring in items which the customers want.
“It is probably the largest loyalty programme in the country.”
