City school needs desk

Letters

IT has come to my attention that some children at Wardstrip Primary School are sitting on the floor during classes.
They do their work by placing books on top of their school bags at.
This is unacceptable for a school which is right in the heart of Port Moresby.
If we are to go by Prime Minister James Marape’s theme, these children are the ones who will take back PNG in the years to come.
They deserve to be seated properly and get educated well, not on the floor as if they are learning in rural schools.
Even some rural schools are have desks and chairs.
My child reported that he was sitting on the floor so I had to buy a chair for him to take to school.
But then there is no desk.
This is denying children’s education.
Education Minister, enough of talking and attend to needs like this.
