City to host softball titles

 PORT Moresby has been confirmed as the host venue for the 2016 National Softball titles at the Easter weekend.

Vice president of the PNG Softball Federation Ralph Tarasomo has reminded all associations to pay up before the deadline this week.

Tarasomo urged the following centres to closely observe the official deadline for affiliation which is February 2016: Port Moresby, Kimbe, Mt Hagen, ENBSL, Kokopo, Gazelle, Lae, Madang, Buluminski, Manus, Wewak, AROB and Kavieng. 

He urged the centers to contact treasurer Harry Keket for further information on PNGSF account which is a BSP account  – number 1000 386 519. 

He said preparation has already commenced and the PNGSF would be announcing the official major sponsors very shortly.

Tarasomo added that the centres were asked to bring in two teams only, a men’s and a women’s team. 

“We expect the best players to be selected for this 41st championships here in Port Moresby,” he said of the national titles. 

Meanwhile, arrangements are now in place to implement the junior competitions throughout the country and each association have also been advised to bring their development plans to be discussed during the championships.
