City top cop donates to church

Lae News, Normal

THE Lae metropolitan police commander made a generous gesture last Sunday by donating a new full computer set and a generator to the Stephen Pino Memorial chapel at the Bumbu police barracks.
Metropolitan commander Supt Nema Mondiai presented the machines to the Momase divisional chaplain Rev Johnsford Tura at the church.
The presentation was witnessed by the congregation who felt blessed with the gifts.
Supt Mondiai said the donation was a way of giving back to the church to build its capacity and to serve the community with its spiritual needs.
He said with the city constantly experiencing power disruptions, he hoped the generator would assist the church with its activities.
Rev Tura commended Supt Mondiai.
Overwhelmed with joy, he said after praying for six years, the good Lord had answered his prayers.
