Clarification

The headline on Page 37 “Duma backs Mayur proposal and asks PNG Power to consider coal project” in yesterday’s edition of The National may have implied that Public Enterprise and State Investments Minister William Duma supports the project.
He does not. As minister responsible for state investments, Duma was only asking PNG Power to consider Mayur’s proposal and establish if it had met the development requirements and policies.
Nothing more.
