Clean up DAL compound

Letters

AGRICULTURE Minister John Simon should impose some tough laws for his public servants in the Department of Agriculture and Livestock (DAL) compound in Gordon to abide by after finding the cause of the recent incident with police.
I have witnessed too many relatives living in and vending in front of that compound.
The DAL staff’s children consume alcohol and play loud music, disturbing the neighbours.
The senior officers who are supposed to be at work drink during working hours.
These are settlement-type attitudes.
The recent incident couldn’t have happened if people consumed alcohol responsibly.
I suggest that the relatives of staff, especially grandchildren, in-laws or relatives and children who are married and still living with their parents should be asked to leave the compound.
Only the staff who are working with children below the age of 20 should be allowed to stay in the compound.

  • Yes observer, you are right. There are times when simple rules are broken and see what happens.
