CLIMATE Change advocate Latin N’Drihin ended the final leg of yet another awareness campaign from Kavieng to Namatanai, clocking 7,955,000 steps in the 263km he walked within three months.

N’Drihin had begun the campaign at his Lomoei village in Pnka local council, North Coast of Manus Island, on Dec 27, 2010.

It took him three years and he finished last Wednesday to set a record with almost 3,000,000 steps.

Speaking from Namatanai, N’Drihin said he had clocked 2.5 million steps in his previous walks which included Bogia-Madang, Madang-Lae and Sir Ignatius Kilage and John Guise Stadiums respectively.

He then walked from Kavieng to Lihir.  “I have walked a total of 903km within three years.”

N’Drihin said that the spirit of his awareness “was for human to realise the significance of the eco-system and respect nature and harmonise with the characteristics of nature.’’
