Hekari United United’s School of Excellence expects a good turnout in its second year of the children’s development programme.
The programme is an initiative of the top soccer team in the country with the aim to mould children who have the skills, talent and interest in playing the worldgame.
The programme resumed last October after a two-year break.
The outcome of the junior development programme was a success towards the end of last year, with more than 600 children taking part in the capital city.
“It showed that parents are very supportive of the programme,”  founder Vonnie Kapi Natto said.
Kapi Natto was pleased with the outcome last year and believes this year will be a big success.
She urged parents to bring their children when the programme begins in two months.
“Even though our calendar looks tight, I have a commitment and this commitment has to be alive,” she said.
“I am grateful for the programme as it has attracted a lot of children towards the end of last Christmas.
“I give credit to my players for their support and assistance all through the years and giving their time each Saturday.”
Kapi Natto plans to expand to the Southern Highlands.
