City Pharmacy Limited (CPL) Group has backed the Port Moresby Game Fishing Club with K10,000 worth of first aid kits ahead of the annual National Game Fishing Titles in Port Moresby.
CPL Group foundation representative Oti Sarufa, pictured, said they were keen to continue being a gold sponsor of the tournament, which starts on Friday.
“CPL are proud to remain as gold sponsors and here are 50 first aid kits worth K10,000 to be used during the 44th National Game Fishing Titles,” Sarufa said.
“The first-aid kits will be beneficial to the participants.”
Sarufa said CPL continued to support sports and reaching out to the community was “our way of giving back to the people”.
“We hope to support the event next year and onwards,” she said.
“CPL wishes every participant the best of luck and may the best team win.”
Game Fishing Club president Matthew Brutnal thanked CPL for their support.
“We are excited to have CPL as a major sponsor and the first aid kits will be important for the event,” he said.
Brutnal said this was not the first the company had sponsored such events and assured CPL that they would remain partners in promoting game fishing in the country.
Tournament director Matthew Geoghegan said the event would end with the presentation on April 20.
