Club willing to help develop PNG league, says Bennett

BRISBANE Broncos coach Wayne Bennett says his club is willing to help develop rugby league in the Papua New Guinea.
Bennett said regular visits would help improve and develop the game in the country and said they would work with the Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League to discuss on their future visit.
“We are working on our new stadium which cost some millions of dollars of our own,” Wayne said.
He said to always get it right it works to be patience in a different challenge to do it back-to-back in Queensland Rugby League Intrust Super Cup.
The master coach said Broncos is the only NRL club making it back-to-back and another successful club is Melbourne Storm they’ve been here for decades
“You being patience you get it in there in Intrust Super Cup,” Wayne said.
“Speaking from experience with Hunters coach Michael Marum to overcome this.
“There are difficulties but to do your best at end of the day.
“You have wonderful facilities here and credit should go to Oil Search Ltd for that as it would boost the code in the country.
“I’ve been around the world but great facilities and grand stand to be proud of.
“We are also going on big spending with some millions of dollars for new stadium
PNGRFL chairman Sandis Tsaka said that a partnership in that was in process with confirmation yet to be released soon.
Tsaka is proud that the partnership with Broncos as one of the best teams in the NRL will not only help develop the game but the quality and the standard in the future.
“I commend the Broncos management for realising the need with the programmes we have in the country,” Tsaka said.
“This is a mile stone in brimging the Broncos to play the Hunters in the country.”
