CLUBS competing in the Hohola Lareva off-season rugby league competition have been urged to pay up their affiliation fees or will be suspended this week.
Twelve clubs including two women’s teams participating in the competition should pay their outstanding fees this week.
The deadline was set for yesterday (Monday).
However, league president Ambrose Mike has given the clubs until tomorrow to pay up or they will be axed from the competition for the rest of the season.
Ambrose said the executives had been too lenient on the clubs and would take a tough stance this season.
The teams are 3-B Bulls (K84), Texas Melona (K100), Mutrus Brothers (K100), Tia Broncos (K300), Bus Stop Spartans (K40), Isapea (K50), Tia Sisters (K250), Freeway Sisters (K125), SS Raiders (K50), Raiders Namona (K100), Tox Mix Sisters (K150) and Titans (K20). The rest had paid in full.
Mike also said selections for the NCD Governor’s Cup and the Coca-Cola Ipatas Cup were completed yesterday.
The names of players will be published shortly.
He said they would field a team in the Ipatas Cup and the NCD Governor’s Easter Cup challenge.
“We will announce both men’s and women’s teams this week,” he said.
