CMSS Tigers are hoping to maintain their winning form when they take on newcomers Niupetro Fox of Madang in the opening match of the three games scheduled for tomorrow at the Lloyd Robson Oval.
Tigers, who were on a scoring spree against University Lae 6-2, are keen to keep that momentum.
CMSS coach Juwan Jung is likely to retain the same side that spoilt the party for debutants University Lae in the opener last Saturday.
Tigers will be without key player and skipper Ken Gule who was red-carded for dangerous play against University.
However, Juwan will be pinning his hopes on ace striker Raymond Gunemba with his magic left foot and Gari Moka in front while winger Kavoi Mante will be playing a supporting role on the flank.
Skipper Nathan Vincent, Ila Ilaita jnr and Frank Tulem will man the backline while Sowera Guti will take charge of the midfield.
Franchise owner Jimmy Kim yesterday said they were looking forward to registering a second win against the visitors.
“He was very happy with the first win against University Lae. The boys are slowly picking up to become a formidable force in the coming matches,” he said.
He was happy with the new recruits from amateur clubs in Samson Taniosi (Simla), Bruce Kusunan, Ludwick Sapak (Tigers) and Daniel Joe (PNGIPA – PSSA) who had fitted in well.
Kim said Juwan had tipped Daniel Joe to be his next  Gunemba and would form the nucleus of the team in the coming years.
Tigers respect their opponents Niupetro Fox.
He said they would not take them lightly even though they were the new kids on the block and would give their best shot.
Fox coach John Giringo was tightlipped about his side’s chances but  hoped they can improve from the last performance.
He said that a lot of his chargers were new to football at this level.
Giringo will be relying on his two Sepik imports in speedster Terence Bandi and Rudolf Gule and his former Mt Hagen players Ungia Hoyaka, Don Angong, Raymond Barclay, Maclaren Gurian and Lams Vincent.
Vincent, who plays in the midfield, is the one to watch out for.
In the other matches, Gelle Hills face Gigira Laitepo Morobe in the second match while Hekari United meet Eastern Stars in the main game.
The focus will be on Solomon Islanders from both sides.
Hekari boasting of striker Joachim Waroi and flanker Benjamin Mela up against Eastern Stars fullback Timothy Joe and flanker Paul Walei.
