College resumes classes, reduce numbers in campus

THE IEA College of TAFE will resume classes today but with reduced numbers in classes and on campus.
College manager Chris Jones said the institute continued to monitor the Covid-19 transmissions and comply with Government directives on the provision of higher education courses.
Over the past three weeks, students have not attended face-to-face campus studies but trainers continued to support students through an external study mode, both on campus and by working from home, he said.
Jones said the college would re-introduce face-to-face classes today, but classes would be smaller to reduce the number on campus as well. This way, he said, the management of the college can adhere to Government’s “Niupela Pasin” requirements and ensure students could continue with their academic programme with minimum disruption.
