Power outages
Even the daily power outages are affecting the sitting of the inquiry into the procurement, supply and distribution of medicine in PNG at Parliament. Public Accounts Committee chairman Sir John Pundari says the next inquiry should be on PNG Power Ltd.
Disgusting deed
Public Accounts Committee vice-chairman Gary Juffa says the people should be disgusted with the Health Department’s technical evaluation committee on how it handled the supply of medicine in the country. So many anomalies in the process.
Xmas money
The number of “landowners” hanging around Vulupindi Haus in Waigani swells at this time of the year. There is always hope that compensation claims lodged many moons ago will be processed in time for Yuletide. The extra cash is welcomed.
Victory parade
No one wants to take up the suggestion to organise a “parade” to honour sporting achievements this year, in particular by the Kumuls, Orchids and Barramundi. Have we forgotten them already?
Sweet 16
On an old man’s T-shirt is written: “I am not 80. I am sweet 16 with 64 years of experience.” That’s positive mental attitude.
