The K1 billion loan from the land down under comes with strict conditions as regards the way its uses. It will be monitored by some “outside” eyes to see how it is spent.
Big leak
The Opposition is claiming that some details of the 2020 national budget have been leaked in a social media post by a minister. It’s scary if true.
Fat cats
The fat cats are on the alert as the public accounts committee is stepping up inquiries into various state departments. Health is first. We wish the committee members all the best.
Free bus
Capital City residents are still waiting for the good governor to provide the free buses he had promised after Apec. There are some black ones wasting away at the wharf in downtown. They could do for starters.
Use-by date
Many still choose to travel by bus around the capital city because it is the cheapest means of transport. But alas the seats and state of those buses are so pathetic and pitiful. They are years past their use-by date.
Not pisin
Some taxis operating in the capital city have a small computer near the dashboard which is meant to show the location, time, temperature etc. One taxi driver says it is useless because the language is in Japanese.
Thought for today
A meaningful life is not about being rich, popular, highly educated or perfect. It is about being real, humble, strong and being able to share ourselves and touch the lives of others.
Odd world
What is the world coming to? A gay father (left) who left his husband (second left) to start a new relationship with their daughter’s (third left) boyfriend (fourth left) is now planning to adopt twins. And they all live under the same roof. How weird. – The Daily Mail
