Told to move
Owners of this home built around a power pole at a Port Moresby suburb (as highlighted here yesterday) have been told by PNG Power to tear down the structure and move away within 14 days. Acting chief executive officer Douglas Mageo says it is “for the safety of the general public and individuals. There is a high safety risk where humans can be electrocuted and the property damaged. The construction of any infrastructure under or around a power pole is prohibited.”
So hot

Fire donation
Tennis superstars including Serena Williams and Roger Federer, in Melbourne for the annual Australian Open, have donated $3 million towards the bushfires appeal fund.
Male wife
An Ugandan imam has been suspended after finding out his wife of two weeks was actually a man. Sheikh Mohammed Mutumba, 27, said his bride wouldn’t undress while they slept. He found out when she was body searched by police after she stole something from the neighbour.
