Valentine’s Day
From a reader: Valentine’s Day, which falls on Feb 14 (next Friday), is only for “lovers” between 17 and 25. Anyone older should wait for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
No appearance
Police were yesterday waiting at the airport in the province for Mister Governor to return home from his overseas trip. They were to question him over an election bribery allegation. The last we heard was that police left because the flight was cancelled.
Lights off
Street lights went off around noon at two busy intersections in central Waigani, Port Moresby. It was a bit chaotic as drivers tried to outmuscle and outmanoeuvre each other on who had the right of way. No police around.
Giving tithe
Think about it – how K20 seem such as a huge sum of money when you give it as your offering in church, while it is such a small amount when you go shopping.
Rest in peace
Why are we only allowed to rest in peace when we pass on but cannot live in peace too?
Fly-tipping
Some of us are fly-tippers although we do not know it. Fly-tipping is defined as the “illegal deposit of any waste onto land that does not have a licence to accept it”. Yes, when you dump an old mattress, fridge, furniture, electrical item on vacant land, littering it, you are a fly-tipper.
Face mask
You wear the face mask this way when you are more afraid of the people rather than the Coronavirus.
Food for thought
If you do not see it with your own eyes, or hear it with your own ears, do not invent it with your small mind and share it with your big mouth.
