Special date
Guess what, tomorrow is Saturday the 22nd of February 2020. It reads as 22/02/2020. We hope that the final score at the Oil Search National Football Stadium in Boroko will be something like: PNG Hunters 22 CQ Capras 0.
Busy morning
You will see many dads in Port Moresby rushing around tomorrow morning trying to finish all their family chores before noon. They have a very important engagement at Boroko in the afternoon. Spare a thought for them.
Mislaid cash
Someone posted on social media that she found wads of notes sealed in a plastic bag. She is asking whoever who mislaid it to identify himself/herself. Tough call.
Scary stares
Colleague was curious why everyone was staring at him when he walked into a bank in Port Moresby. No, his fly is zipped, shirt is correctly buttoned, everything is in order. Then he realised that the bag he was carrying had the logo of another major bank in town. Oops.
Thought for today
Don’t buy the K300 bag that has little inside it. Buy a K20 bag that has many things in it. Do not go broke trying to look rich.
Good quote
“What makes this robbery serious is that it was committed in the sleepy town of Kwikila where such offences are unheard of. Maybe the town was chosen because of the people’s sense of complacency. I don’t know. What is clear to me is that robbers are now selecting their targets on small towns knowing full well that police resources are limited (there).” – Justice Panuel Mogish.
