Covid-19 threat
The stock markets are already reeling from the impact so far of the corona virus. The global economy is bracing for the worse. Frightening.
Not funny
Agents of those Japanese-made cars will not find this funny at all. The Corona model is one of the most popular around. Like the tasty Mexican Corona Extra beer, they unfortunately have the same name as that virus.
Less pollution now
Amazing NASA images show how pollution has cleared over China as the coronavirus crisis has kept everyone indoors. NASA and European Space Agency have used pollution monitoring satellites to track nitrogen dioxide levels.
Special lot
All those born last Saturday are a special lot. They will be attending kindergarten on their first birthday in 2024, likely to reach puberty on their second birthday in 2028, eligible to have a driving licence on their third birthday in 2032, and be drinking beer on their fourth birthday.
Welcome rain
Some parts of Port Moresby experienced rain while other parts were dry and hot. We hear that this is a result of the Lent season – a time for prayer and fasting in the Christian calendar.
Three in one
A guest house in the nation’s capital has a special offer. Buy a room and get a companion for free with 10 cans of SP. We hear it is for a limited time only.
Hunters shot by Pride
The SP Hunters succumbed 24-36 to the Northern Pride in Cairns on Saturday in a game riddled with incomplete sets, poor defence, and inconsistency in the Hunters kicking game. A change in attitude is what’s needed. Over to you Mister Church.
Thought for today
If you are helping someone and expecting something in return, you are doing business, not kindness.
