New normal
Some are curious to know about the “new normal” announced by Prime Minister James Marape this week which he said will start soon. It can only mean one thing: saying goodbye to the old normal.
Opening cancelled
The opening of a new market at a Port Moresby suburb had to be cancelled because the chief guest on arrival noticed a crowd waiting for him. He cancelled the event because of the state of emergency regulations.
New virus
Someone has invented a new “pandemic” called the “poverty-virus disease” (Povid-20). The symptoms are headache, unable to sleep, anxiety, depression and high blood pressure which many are experiencing during the lockdown and no-job period.
No cuts
Thanks to the State of Emergency, the power cuts have disappeared. Well, there was a short two-minute one last Saturday, but Port Moresby residents are for once enjoying an unprecedented uninterrupted power supply. Thanks PNG Power.

Different hairstyles – one done by the barber, the other by Mother Nature.

Sports fanatics thinks that one good thing which has come out of the lockdown is the opportunity to watch the replays of classic matches from many moons ago.

The happiest people do not have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

Home confinement has allowed Missus more time to study the Bible. She recently told Hubby that men should be washing the dishes because God said (2 Kings 21:13): “And I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipes a dish, wiping it, turning it upside down”.
