Wedding wink
You have to observe social distancing in every situation, even at your wedding. The new normal is to wink at the bride rather than kiss her.
No worries
They have invented a new word for te coronavirus in Nebliyer, Western Highlands. According to PhD student and university lecturer John Wanis Tapura, his people call it Kor No Worries. Kor in their dialect means “sick or disease”. He is worried because it means the people are saying they don’t care about the coronavirus.
Looking forward
Tertiary students are looking forward to resuming classes today. Their younger siblings have another week to go before schools reopen on May 4. The dads too are looking forward to May 28 – when the NRL season reopens.
Happy times
There were a few smiles, hugs and holding hands all around last weekend. The long drought (five weeks) is over, and their favourite watering holes have reopened, much to their delight.
No thanks
Some men must have had a green can too many and staged an impromptu boxing match. It started when the gentleman who bought the drinks was teased by his drinking mates.
Spying at home
This is what happens when children get bored staying at home. They will start spying on what their neighbour is up to.
