Local covidiots
A covidiot is someone who ignores the Covid-19 warnings regarding public health or safety, or who hoards goods, denying them from their neighbours. We see so many around.
Wild display
Shirtless man was disturbing the peace at the Boroko market in Port Moresby last Saturday afternoon, yelling and gesturing wildly, as he continually eyed the fresh water melons, pineapples and bananas around. Vendors ignored him. He must be a regular nuisance.
Six venues
The Telstra NRL competition restarts Thursday, May 28. Six venues have been identified. Most matches will be played at the Bankwest Stadium – with the host teams including the Eels, Bulldogs, Rabbitohs, Sharks and Roosters. Yes! Can’t wait. Draws will be out tomorrow.
Extra charge
A customer at a US restaurant this week noticed on the invoice an extra charge – for Covid-19. It went viral on social media when he posted it. The owners explained that it was because of the increase in the price of meat and poultry. Yeah right.
Food for thought
Before you spread gossip about someone’s life, flaws or failures, remember that there are chapters of your life that you do not want to read out loud either. Be kind.
Top quote
Walk away from people who put you down. Walk away from people who may never see your worth. The more you walk away from things that may poison your soul, the healthier you will be.
