A sign at a workplace promoting the Covid-19 health safety rules states: Follow WOMEN (Wash your hands, Obey social distancing, Mask up, Exercise and Eat well, No unnecessary travelling). Avoid MEN (mouth, eyes, nose).
Cardboard fans
You notice the cardboard fans occupying seats around the grounds at the NRL games and you wonder why they are not even social distancing. They should not be smiling too.
Out of stock
One of the most expensive imported beers sold in major supermarkets in Port Moresby is out of stock. Its name is similar to the Covid-19.
Different figures
The numbers do not match. The Registrar of Political Parties says the People’s National Congress Party has 17 MPs, PM Marape says the party only has 15. Who is correct?
Spare seats
If all the 111 MPs are seated in the House, there will still be some empty seats left. They must be meant for others.
In Parliament
Ijivitari MP Richard Masere was trying his best to quickly get the hang of running the show in Parliament from the Speaker’s chair. He did not do too badly considering the several attempts by MPs to rattle him.
More homework
One thing students are learning to cope with today is the increase in the amount of homework they are required to do. It certainly is keeping them busy at home.
