Fingers crossed
Capital city residents are hoping that no Covid-19 restrictions will be brought back because of the recent positive case.
Hitching a ride
This guy overseas was seen clinging to the back of a vehicle obviously without the driver’s knowledge. Obviously no fare to get home. Hard times indeed.
Out of date
We are in 2020 yet they are still calling it the Covid-19 pandemic. Doesn’t make sense.
Free entry
The owner of a popular watering hole in the city allowed a group of men in last Saturday hoping they will generate some income. Alas, they just bought one can of soft drink each and sat there for the duration of the NRL game live on the screen.
Still closed
The bottle shop in one of the capital city’s major supermarkets remained closed last Saturday even though the ban of liquor sales had been lifted. No reason given. Just a bit behind the news the owners were.
Exam blunder
Teacher was furious when two students were discussing their answers in the middle of an exam. They explained that the question was followed by the word “discuss”.
Food for thought
Please help others who are less fortunate than you during these tough times. Don’t just stand there watching someone counting coins at the cashier, count with them and top it up if you can. Don’t let someone walk in the heat or pouring rain, give them a lift. Make an extra lunch box for another kid or ask your kid to share theirs at school. Look around you and help whatever way you can. Smile, be the hope and be the light.
