Hope on Fifita
We hope David Fifita will help turn things around for the Brisbane Broncos so that they can head back to their familiar spot at the top. The first scalp is the Rabittohs on Friday. Go Broncos!
Children exempted
Children under 12 are exempted from wearing masks in public, according to Order No 10 issued by National Pandemic Response Controller David Manning on Tuesday night. It makes sense too.
No order
Order No 9 issued by National Pandemic Response Controller David Manning on Tuesday night said: “Boroko Market shall be immediately closed.” Apparently, no one told City Hall and the vendors. The market remained opened yesterday. Communication breakdown most likely.
Blessing in disguise
From a reader: The ban on buses is a blessing in disguise. Less pollution, less red stains on the road and bus stops, less congestion on the road, less chances of getting infected. Thank you, Covid-19.
No enforcement
One week into the 14-day shutdown in Port Moresby and we see very little, if any at all, enforcement of the 10pm to 5am curfew on the roads. People are still wandering around when they should be at home.
Making masks
Good to see so many ladies selling various colours and sizes and shapes of masks on the streets. It is a thriving business. Quick money.
Want to know
When you meet old class mates, the first question they ask is what you are doing now. It is not because they care. They just want to know if they are more successful than you in order to respect you or look down on you.
Thought for today
Learn from your mistake and move on in life. Never allow yourself to be a prisoner of your past. That mistake was a lesson, not a life sentence.
