It’s not Langer
So the theory that “water boy” Allan Langer had been the “curse” behind the Broncos’ consecutive defeats was indeed wrong. He was not there on Saturday but the team still lost again. Not even David Fifita could help.
Longer wait
Things do not look good for Port Moresby at the moment, with schools likely to be closed for a while longer.
Forgotten order
Colleague was told when entering a watering hole in the city last Saturday that he must order food first. He ordered fish and chips. After downing a few pints and watching his NRL team lose again, he left – minus the food.
Long walk
Girl around 20 carrying her young son on her shoulders in the hot sun was seen walking from Erima to 10-Mile on Saturday because she said there was no bus and she could not afford a taxi. Wherever there was shade along the way, she stopped for a short rest before continuing. Sad.
Wasted time, money
Some vendors left their villages in Central very early Friday to come and sell their farm produce at the Boroko market, only to find that it had been closed. What a waste of trip and effort.
Good turn
Always do good to others. You will be rewarded in unexpected ways.
Food for thought
Beautiful things start to happen when you distance yourself from negativity.
