No rules
Colleague travelling by bus to Gordon in Port Moresby yesterday morning counted more than 15 passengers inside with less than 10 wearing masks. And no hand sanitizer was provided.
Our fate
Some are interpreting PM Marape’s statement that the people “must now learn to live with the Covid-19” to mean that we are resigned to our fate as far as the pandemic is concerned.
Oval full
The lone goalpost at the Unagi Oval reminds people that it used to be a sporting venue in Port Moresby, a popular meeting place for city residents every weekend. Yesterday, it was again used as the city’s central bus station, taxi stand and a market for informal vendors. Such a waste.
Reckless attitude
The grand announcements on Covid-19-related matters are so meaningless when there is little or no enforcement. Yesterday, bus drivers forgot to limit passengers to 15, ensure they wear masks before boarding, or provide sanitisers. Hopeless.
Packed buses
Two Route 4 buses with at least two passengers hanging out of the doorway because it was full inside sped through Gordon yesterday morning with most passengers not wearing masks. And we cry and wail each time the bus service is suspended because of our stupidity.
Right questions
The happy look on your face when the topics you studied for actually turned up on the exam paper.
Food for thought
No matter how many times a snake sheds it skin, it will always be a snake. Remember that before allowing certain people back in your life.
