Death toll
The National Covid-19 Control Centre for some reason is not updating the number of people who have died so far in PNG from the coronavirus. The last figure they gave weeks ago was three. It has increased. But the centre is silent on it, for whatever reason.
Open defiance
It is good to see police and road traffic officers on the road booking public transport drivers openly flouting the rules. Drivers seem to see money as more important than lives. Such greed.
New trick
It’s the new trick bus drivers now employ when they see police or road traffic authorities ahead. They will offload passengers before reaching the checkpoint to ensure they have no more than 15. Hopefully those off-loaded are refunded their fares.
Two-year wait
New Zealand-born Ross McEwan, the boss of the National Australia Bank, believes it will take two years for the economies of New Zealand and Australia to bounce back to where they were at the end of 2019. It is going to be a longer wait for us.
Daily wash
How many wash their reusable homemade masks daily? They are meant to be washed after use daily, not after one week.
Food for thought
Don’t let energy-drainers try to feed off you by giving them attention or reacting to their negativity. Ignore them.
