Political games
From a reader: We had another tremor felt in some parts of the country including Port Moresby last week. There is also an undercurrent of intense political activities going on. All of a sudden PM Marape led a big delegation to Chimbu last week and committed K32 million for various projects. Something is afoot.
Hope on Olam
The Raiders defeated the Storm in last year’s NRL semifinal. Storm fans in PNG hope their Chimbu hero Justin Olam will deliver. Fingers crossed anyway.
Equity vs equality
In case you still cannot tell, equality is giving everyone the same thing(s). Equity is fairness in every situation. Which one is important to you?
Texted reply
Some are still receiving the “have you registered your sim card” message from a mobile phone network two weeks after the registration exercise officially ended. The catch is you have text your reply.
Unhappy Kiwis
Kiwis do not take too kindly to seeing the All Blacks perform badly, such as the 16-16 tie with the Wallabies on Sunday in Wellington. They do not even care that a fellow Kiwi is coaching the Australians.
Awkward moment
When you are on a date and suddenly see your ex and friends approaching.
Food for thought
Do yourself a favour. Do not lower your standards to fit in. Do not shrink who you are to make other people comfortable. Find and surround yourself with people who like you just the way you are and encourage you to keep growing.
