Extra fee
From a reader: “I went to pay my monthly bill at Hitron last Friday and was told to pay an extra K34.50 to upgrade my account. No reason was given for the so-called upgrade which I did not request for.” Absurd.
Charter flights
From a reader: Air Niugini and other airlines in the region are organising international charter flights to take people home for Christmas. That way they do not have to limit the number of passengers they can take – unlike on commercial flights. Makes no sense.
Weird pattern
It seems weird to see a heavy downpour in one suburb of Port Moresby and sun blazing in another suburb of the city.
Genuine friend
When you are up in life, your friends get to know who you are. When you are down in life, you get to know who your friends are.
No wash
Colleague was seen at a nightspot in the capital city on Saturday night still in his golf shoes. He apparently had not been home for a shower and change of clothes after golf.
