Alternate PM
The Opposition remains tight-lipped on who their choice for alternate PM is. But PM Marape himself had spilled the beans last week that Aitape-Lumi MP Patrick Pruaitch is the front-runner. Cannot hide a secret for too long, can you?
Massive bill
Must be a quite a bill amassed by the Opposition MPs during more than two weeks camping at Vanimo. Not only the hotel and food but also the air transport. Someone is so filthy rich.
End of year
We are quickly approaching the end of the 2020 financial year but ministers and MPs are caught up in their political camps. And we are near the doorsteps to Christmas.
Sound of music
And we wrongly thought that the Covid-19 had left big holes in people’s pockets. The partying until dawn accompanied by the booming sound of music at weekends are telling us a different story altogether.
Dear goods
And the prices of goods seem to be going up as we move close to Christmas. Very little to cheer about.
Blind eye
Everyone is turning a blind eye to the palm tree trunk left lying across the busy footpath near Sir Manasure Haus in Central Waigani for almost a year now. Everyone including public servants who use that footpath look the other way while walking around it.
Thought for today
Challenges make you more responsible. Always remember that life without struggle is life without success. Don’t give up and learn not to quit.
Top quote
“2021 will be an important year for those who want to be PM, and for those who want to contest 2022 general election.” – Prime Minister James Marape
