By now we should know who have made it into the Queen’s New Year Honours list. There is an unconfirmed one doing the rounds which may be fake.
Littering issue
Areas around the Unagi Oval gets flooded easily these days whenever it rains because the drains are clogged with rubbish accumulated by informal vendors using the sports park as a market. Sad that City Hall does not seem to care.
Missing the boat
Hot detour
It was hot inside the bus and passengers started swearing when the bus driver decided to join the queue at a service station to refill fuel. Surely he could have done that before picking up passengers.
Peace at home
Remember to create an environment of peace and love in your home. The worst prison in the world is a home without peace.
Fast asleep
Around 11am yesterday in the Port Moresby heat, family members were trying to wake up one of their own lying shirtless on the road kerb near the Sione Kami church in Gordon – to no avail. Must have been a long night.
Animal sale
Sad to see the sellers of puppies and small animals in the hot sun returning to outside a supermarket in Port Moresby. The practice should be outlawed, what say RSPCA?
Thought for today
Listen to anything your children want to tell you. If you do not listen to the small stuff now, they won’t tell you the big stuff later.
