No cash
Man was furious when he could not withdraw cash from the ATM. He tried EFTPOS at the nearby supermarket but was told to buy more K50 worth of goods to qualify for any cash-back. He almost swore loudly. He had just a little over K50 in his account.
Virus test
Taxi driver complaining about the no cash in the ATMs suggests that the machines should all get tested for the “virus” quickly. He did not say which virus.
Back-up system
One would have thought that commercial banks, which provide one of the most sought-after services, have back-up systems to ensure services, especially at ATMs, are not disrupted. It’s just unacceptable.
Loyal worker
We cannot be all white-collar workers. Some have to clean streets and collect rubbish, such as this lady seen along the busy Sir John Guise Drive in Port Moresby cleaning the road side. They are also trying to support their families.
Power to PNG
PNG Power bossman Bekker has laid down the gauntlet to the State: Find the hundreds of millions of US dollars if you want an end to the everyday blackouts! And he’s not joking.
Food for thought
There is a purpose for everyone you meet. Some come into your life to test you, some to teach you, some to use you, and some to bring out the very best in you.
