Hymn books
A church in Port Moresby has lost many hymn books and the parish priest after Sunday mass urged parishioners who may have taken the hymn books home to kindly return them to where they are meant to be.
Forum shock
Sad to see the Pacific Island Forum starting to disintegrate. Five Micronesian nations – Nauru, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Federated State of Micronesia and Marshall Island – have withdrawn from the forum.
Fine for littering
A potential big source of revenue for towns and cities can be from on-the-spot fines for those littering. Municipalities have to design a system which will work for them.
Plea for mine
The economy has been crying out for the reopening of the Porgera mine for too long its voice is becoming hoarse.
Wrong number
Mum was furious when young Johnny told her he had been trying to reach his dad on the phone which a woman kept answering. Mum slapped shocked dad when he returned from work. When they asked their son what the woman was saying, he said: “The subscriber you have dialed is not available at the moment. Please try again later.”
Food for thought
