Leafy mask
Many ways to make a mask. This farmer simply used a big taro leaf. Improvising is the word.
Pretty exhausting
From a reader: It can be a pretty exhausting job to stick needles into people’s arms for a long period of time. Health workers at Rita Flynn administering almost non-stop the Covid-19 vaccine deserve a break at least after every hour. They should rotate to avoid fatigue. They are only humans.
Name in flowers
On a small embankment near the Erima roundabout in Port Moresby is written – using flowers – the name of the city governor. Workers were seen recently working late into the night to plant the flowers. Some urgency.
No beer
Word went out that a club in Port Moresby had been selling alcohol to patrons inside the poking machine room. Officials quickly pounced to stop it.
Mixed bag
A mixed bag of fortune for Queenslanders last weekend. Their rugby league did so well to beat the Roosters but their rugby union team received a walloping from the NZ Crusaders. Oops!
Folau back
And imagine Israel Folau slotting in at fullback for the Broncos. What a day that would be. Dreams are free, of course.
Food for thought
Some people are like birds. You teach them to fly and once in the air, they pass waste matter on you.
Top quote
“If God blesses people with good knowledge, good intent and the wisdom to make a vaccine to control the Covid-19, it is a blessing from God for us all. What made me take the vaccine (is) my faith in God.” Cardinal Sir John Ribat
