Fake message
Colleague received a message from Digicel phone number +675 71209728 saying he had won K50,000 from a trukai roots promo, and to call the number, or email.com.trukai ltd. He called and talked to someone who sounded like he was learning to speak. The call was cut off after a few seconds. Please Digicel, trace this number and report the owner to police. Beware folks!
Price hike
Lovers of the amber liquid have recently noticed that running parallel to the spike in Covid-19 cases is the price of the beer which has a similar name to the coronavirus. A 67 per cent increase in three months.
Blood moon
Some of those who woke up late for work yesterday were blaming their blood moon-watching the previous night. They claimed that it affected their body clock. Yeah right.
Missing action
Someone suggests that the famous saying by French writer Michel Montaigne “Actions speak louder than words” be printed on large banners and hung at the front entrance of all government offices. So many plans, but zilch implementation and enforcement.
Thought for today
Be happy with the little you have. Some people have nothing but still manage to smile.
Top quote
“We are also owed a large amount of money by government departments. Lack of maintenance in past years is causing disruptive blackouts.”
