Wrong game
NSW Blues fan took a quick nap before the SOO1 kick-off on Wednesday evening. He suddenly woke up to see the Maroons celebrating victory. He was about to turn the TV off when he realised it was the 2020 SOO3 match. The 2021 game was just about to start.
Venue advantage
The ball is in Maroons coach Paul Green’s court to come up with a workable game plan to salvage the 2021 series at the Suncorp Stadium. He has the ground advantage. His rival Brad Fittler has lost every game at Suncorp since he took over the Blues in 2018.
Hunt for Broncos
Karmichael Hunt returns to the Broncos side this week after being away for 4,277 days. His last game for the Broncos was the 2009 Preliminary Final loss to the Storm. He represented the Maroons 10 times in the State Of Origin, and played for the Kangaroos in 11 test matches.
