Wonder kid
From a reader: After watching teenager Reece Walsh’s performance for the Warriors against the Knights last Saturday, I want to wish him well wearing the Maroons No 1 jersey against the NSW Blues on Sunday.
Wasted talents
Two players discarded by the Broncos recently – Reece Walsh to the Warriors and Andrew McCullough to the Dragons – have both been included in Queensland Maroons team for the SOO2. How come?
People’s money
Perplexing how some MPs put their names to projects and programmes to make it look to the people like the funds came from the MP’s own pockets. It is the people’s money they are spending.
Lax attitude
Just a few new cases and major cities and states in Australia immediately take safety precautions including lockdowns. Compare that to PNG where most people no longer find it necessary to wear masks while new cases roar skyward each day.
More power
Australian High Commissioner Jon Philp will be in Finschhafen today to announce a new K67 million electrification project. Thanks Aust.
Doctor’s advice
Wife saw hubby watching himself in the mirror while munching down dinner. He explained later that the doctor told him to watch his diet.
Food for thought
You best teacher is your most recent mistake, because it is not the mistake that matters, but how you deal with it, what you learn from it, and how you apply the lesson to your life.

“As a police officer you should have known the law and not to take the law into your own hands. You could have simply injured him, hurt him or disabled him. But you went all the way and took his life.” – Chief Justice Sir Gibbs sentencing convicted killer Noel Moimo.
