Gone quiet
Everyone watching the Storm-Panthers match on Saturday at a bar in Port Moresby were shouting and laughing at the start. Towards the end, the bar was quiet. Must be all Storm fans.
Samoan link
No doubt the (Luai-To’o) Samoan power connection lifted the Panthers on Saturday. We will see if it will work too against Walker-Reynolds in the grand finals.
Outside Sydney
Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium will host the 2021 NRL Telstra Premiership grand final on Sunday between Penrith and Souths as the title decider is held outside of Sydney for the first time in the competition’s 114th season.
Clean road
You see them every day sweeping all the sand and dust from the road and dump them on the footpath. It’s better that the road be cleaner than the footpath.
Healing power
Those people who profess to heal sick people through their magical power should visit hospitals every now and then to prove that they are not lying.
Low rate
PM Marape has just told the world how worried he is about the low vaccination rate in his country, compared to other nations. The vaccinated people in PNG (about 0.002 per cent of the population) will readily agree.
Food for thought
Never forget three types of people in your life: Those who help you in your difficult times, those who left you in difficult times, and those who put you in difficult times.
Top quote
“I point to all nations on earth to embrace the unity of humanity to save our planet, because what happens in Africa will affect Europe, whatever happens in Asia will affect America, and whatever happens in the Middle East will affect those of us in Pacific. We live in one planet, one atmospheric envelope, one interlinked environmental ecosystem, and hence as one humanity, we must rise and unite to preserve our one planet, our home.” – Prime Minister James Marape.
