NRL draws
Cannot wait for the start of the NRL season in March, now that the 2022 draws are out. By the look of it, the hill is the steepest for clubs in the bottom rungs.
No money
Personnel Management department secretary Taies Sansan let slip what is really behind the Government’s failure to honour the nurses’ awards – the lack of funds. Maybe she hopes the nurses will understand their government’s predicament – and relent somewhat. Hopefully.
Fools’ paradise
We watch with sadness as some of our fellow workers resign rather than get the Covid-19 jab for whatever conviction they have. Years of commitment and dedication gone down the drain. Living in a fool’s paradise, really!
Green card
Not all government agencies and departments demand that all workers produce their green vaccination card when entering the workplace. Some do not enforce the no-jab-no-job policy. Why the double standards?
Drug bust

When a group of policemen turn up at your office on two official vehicles, you know something is badly wrong. But yesterday, they turned up to give a story – and have a picture taken – of how they confiscated from two women in Central plants believed to be marijuana.
Equal share
There must be some way to check that MPs fairly distribute funds allocated to districts for development purposes to everyone – including those who did not vote for the MP in the 2017 general election.
Food for thought
Remember that being happy does not mean you have it all. It just means you are thankful for all you have.
Top quote
“Nurses infected with the Covid-19 have to take sick leave for home isolation. They work on weekends or on their days-off. Nurses are stressed and burn out.” – PNG Nurses Association treasurer Damaris Penias.
