Double standards
POLICE and the National Pandemic Control Center are warning people that public gatherings with more than 20 people are illegal. But political parties are currently holding dinners and fundraising events with well over 20 attending – and in an enclosed areas too!
Drunk driving
THE drunk drivers using public roads are back, putting everyone’s lives at risk. Road users want to see more police traffic officers on patrol. Arrest and lock them up, and throw away the key. Over to you, Comm Manning.
Big break
WATCH PNG-born Chris Minimbi play in the 2022 Super Rugby competition for the Fiji Drua. He is expected to make his debut against the Auckland Blues on Feb 19 at Eden Park. Mum is from Fiji. Late dad was from Western Highlands. Go for it, Chris.
Food for thought
WORRY about your character and not your reputation. Your character is who you are. Your reputation is only what people think of you.
Top quote
“THE Government of PNG has had to respond to dynamic and uncertain challenges as this devastating pandemic evolves. This additional funding is an example of the United States’ commitment to providing quick and agile support when and where our partners need it the most.” – US Ambassador to PNG Erin McKee.
