Empty boxes
Criminals who robbed a shop in Madang grabbed anything they could, including mobile phones. The gadgets were nicely packed in their boxes and the thugs thought they had hit a jackpot. But the boxes were empty. They were instead display boxes for mobile phones.
Thief alert
Some East Boroko residents were alerted by cops who were after a man suspected for an attempted break-in at a house nearby. The cops asked residents to check they yard in case the suspect was hiding there. The incident happened a day after fences were removed from homes in the area. A coincidence maybe? Highly unlikely.
Superhero brother
While on thieves, a brother and sister in Melbourne have been hailed as heroes after they fought off a man allegedly trying to steal their vehicle. The brother later told reporters that he was the new superhero in Melbourne.

The fires at the Amazon forest in Brazil is a concern for everyone. It is the world’s largest tropical rainforest and does the critical task of providing Earth with 20% of its oxygen supply. Its dense vegetation acts like a giant air purifier, constantly taking in carbon dioxide and giving out oxygen. The rainforest is so big that it comprises more than half of the world’s rainforests, even though it covers only 6% of the earth’s surface.
Drunk fest
The nation’s capital is slowly becoming a hub for drunks – especially over weekends. The city is riddled with these drunk lunatics at bus stops, markets and even on road sides. Add on the loud music and drunken brawls as well. And yet we call ourselves a Christian country.
