Easter messages
Sad to see some of the Easter massages from our leaders issued on Thursday so heavily tainted with political campaign messages. They just could not help it, could they?
Speaking in tongues
Hubby was certainly “speaking in tongues” when he arrived home early on Good Friday morning. No, he was not returning from lotu. He had been partying all night with pals.
Easter message
Another Easter come and gone. As the shop owners count their takings from the long weekend, we as Christians should be asking ourselves what new things, if any, we have learned about our faith. Be honest!
Shocking price
Colleague who has been on the wagon for three months was shocked when he saw the price of a six-pack of a locally-brewed beer had gone up by K7. The female cashier tried to explain the price hike, apologising as if it was her fault!
Truth of the matter
The difference between being single and married – to some!
Fare stages
A reader suggests that one way to address the bus fare issue is to charge bus fare in stages. K2 for long trips and K1 for short trips. Over to you, RTA!
Food for thought
You are not classified as a grown-up until you know how to communicate, apologise when you are wrong, be truthful, and accept accountability without blaming someone else.
Top quote
“I want the country to know that this year’s elections is different from past elections. We have a shorter period of time with many things to do before we conduct the election. The roll is ready and the election is happening in June. Data for the common roll will become available in May.” – Electoral Commissioner Simon Sinai.
