Wrong number
It is important that you press the right number, check and re-check, before sending phone credits. A colleague sent K20 to a friend who had asked for assistance, but realised after pressing “Send” that he had entered the wrong phone number. He is still trying to retrieve his K20 from the “wrong” number. No response – as has to be expected.
Power cuts
A reader noticed recently that the frequency of power disruptions in his areas seems to have increased recently. It is almost daily now. When the Blacklock lady was here, power cuts were rare. Something amiss happening at PNG Power headquarters surely.
Illegal entry
A man tried to crawl under the gate at Jack Pidik Park to enter for free the ground hosting a provincial day celebration. He did not see the security guard watching him. He was ordered to crawl back – and to watch from outside.
Top flight
People travelling on Air Niugini’s inaugural direct flight to and from Fiji last week spoke highly of the service and the crew. Now the airline has extended its special fare on this flight for another month. Makes sense.
Brutal execution
NRL top-try scorer for 2019 Maika Sivo of the Parramatta Eels was brutal in the execution of his three tries against the Sea Eagles on Friday night. No mercy at all shown to his opposite, the Eagles No 5. Unstoppable. A monster performance.
Tennis jinx
The heart-breaking loss in the US Open finals for tennis superstar Serena Williams yesterday has been blamed on Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. Serena lately lost two Wimbledon finals when her close friend Meghan was at court side. Some jinx.
