Little trust
Our Big Brother across the ditch has just accepted our request for financial assistance to help us get through the current economic downturn. The condition is that the money be overseen by an international financial institution based in New York. Seems we cannot to be trusted. Lack of love for thy neighbour.
Health safety
Do not be alarmed if you see security guards outside a medical facility in Port Moresby wearing masks. They are only copying what they see doctors and nurses wearing to cover their noses and mouths from germs. The guards know that germs too exist outside the health facility.
Role model
Great to see our PM leading church services on Saturdays. What a great role model. Action rather than just words. Setting an example to young people to enter the narrow gate and follow the straight path. We wish more of our leaders also get themselves heavily involved in church activities. We will truly be the greatest black Christian nation.
No service
Guess who will suffer the most if the St Johns ambulance service withdraws its services because the funding promised by the Government is not forthcoming. Yes, the people.
Delayed trip
Some national rugby teams travelling to Japan to prepare for the 2019 World Cup have to reschedule their flights because of Typhoon Faxai’s arrival there. Not a good omen.
Power off
Always switch on your phone charge after plugging it into the power point. Colleague, after an hour of charging, noticed that the battery remained “low”. Someone pointed out to him that the switch needed to be turned on.
Top quote
“I no longer listen to what people say. I just watch what they do. Behaviour never lies.” – World War Two British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
Filthy Lae

This is the sickening sight outside the market in the country’s second biggest city right in front of the police station because the market management cannot pay for trucks to remove the rubbish. It has been two weeks now without any action by city authorities to fix the problem. Really pathetic.
