Great relief
A HUGE collective sigh of relief by Melbourne Storm fans after captain Cameron Smith was cleared to play in the semifinal match against the Roosters on Saturday. But he will have to first pay a fine of $A1350 for “slapping” an opposition player recently.

Realtime media monitoring firm Streem examined stories from eight major news websites around Australia, tabulating the number of times each NRL player was mentioned. THE Russians claim their culture is similar to ours and a little of their language is ingrained in a local dialect. A cultural show was held in Port Moresby yesterday to help us understand more of Russian culture. It seems it won’t be long too before we have names such as Alexandra (Sasha), Ivan (Vanya), Elena (Lena), Sofia (Sonia), Maxim (Max), Vladimir and Putin in our registry.
Taxi fare
TAXI drivers in Port Moresby are reluctant to turn on the meter at the beginning of a journey no matter how hard you try to convince them it is the right and legal thing to do. They still have a gripe against the Eye Triple See on some unresolved fare issue.
