Not my fault
A man reported to police by a furious mother after she caught him red-handed with her daughter having sex in the girl’s bedroom has been acquitted by the court in Mt Hagen. He argued that he committed no sin as he had been invited by the girl to her bedroom. All legit he says. The court agreed with him and also refunded his K200 bail money.
Bank fees
You may have noticed those seemingly small fees commercial banks charge these days when you withdraw your heard-earned money from their ATM machines. One charges 75t while another 50t. It looks a penalty for withdrawing your money.
Maiden name
Lady went to one of the commercial banks to activate one of her dormant accounts. She was told to produce certain documents including her birth certificate which of course had her maiden name. She was told it cannot be accepted unless it is changed her married name. What? How can she be born using her married name? Absurd.
Better weather
The media received a notice yesterday of the launching of the National Weather Service Strategic Plan 2019-2023 today. It states that the five-year plan is to improve weather services in the country. Really?
Who is out
A bit of a headache really to kick someone out of Cabinet to accommodate the leader of the second biggest party in the coalition government. News that he was going to be accommodated in Cabinet was “hot” last week.
Baby No 22
Britain’s biggest family is set to grow as Sue Radford, pictured, has revealed she is pregnant with her 22nd child. Sue, 44, and husband Noel, 48, posted a YouTube clip on Sunday showing her latest ultrasound. The couple from Morecambe, Lancashire in England vowed after Baby 21 last year that it would be the last. But now they hope it is a boy – to make it 11 boys and 11 girls.
Food for thought
No matter how big your house is, how new your car is, or how big your bank account is, the size of our graves will always be the same size. So stay humble.
