It does not make sense – two teams from Melanesia told to play a Pacific rugby league test match in Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand. Not only will the cold affect the poor guys, but one wonders how many PNG and Fiji people are living down that way and want to watch such a game.

Taxi driver in POM gave his name and phone number to a passenger in case he needs to call his cab in future. “Easy to remember. My name is MacDonald. My number is ….. My base is at Foodworld. So it’s MacDonald at Foodworld.”
Costly theft
Chimbu man Mathew Lucas, 29, who stole K12 from a man’s bilum was fined K300 by court in Lae, in default six months in jail. The K12 was recovered from him by the police on the spot.
