Wounded lion
Cheer up, Kumuls. Forget about the Bati. It was anybody’s game last Saturday. This Saturday at home, you have the chance of getting a bigger scalp. The lion is wounded and weak. The Kiwis took advantage of that last Saturday. Now it is your turn.
Fast return
That was fast. On Saturday evening, center Justin Olam and the Kumuls were deep down south in NZ. Yesterday around 3pm, he was seen having a quick bite at a popular eatery at Vision City in Port Moresby. That’s a fast flight return back home.
No network
Colleague gave his bank card to the cashier. Cashier slots it into the Eftpos machine. She gives the machine to the security guard. He walks outside and waves the machine in the air. He walks back in and gives it to the cashier. She smiles. Now it’s working, she says.
Wrong schedule
One local television network loves to mislead its viewers, especially those who follow sports, by displaying a wrong schedule of programmes. It says an international match is showing at a certain time but it never happens. No explanation whatsoever.
Plastic bottles
Oh how Port Moresby badly needed the heavy downpour on Saturday to wash away empty soft drink bottles clogging the drains. By the way, are these bottles included in the ban on plastics?
No taxi
Family member who went to the Jackson international airport yesterday was forced to drag the heavy bags up the hill to where the taxis are now parked. He suggests airport security officers should be allowed to call a taxi to come down to the arrival gate. Saves time.
Hard day’s work
Two motorcycles and a police car escorting two black buses with a foreign country’s name printed on the side at Jackson airport yesterday. Wonder who the VIPs were.
